Limnes is a pretty Cretan village located 10km west of the province capital Agios Nikolaos and 3km east of the small town of Neapoils.

Due to the villages position (near many towns and resorts) it is full of life as the local population has not needed to move in order to find jobs. Near to Limnes (walking distance) are the villages of Houmeriako and Nikthiano.
