On December 27, 2020 The Home Was Almost Destroyed By Fire. Restoration To Its Current Beauty Began in January 2021 and Was Completed November 22, 2021.The Only Exception Was The Kitchen Was Partially Completed in November and Totally Completed in July 2022. The Exterior Has Been Replaced With Hardie Plank Siding and Fresh Paint Interior. Woodwork and Exterior Work Completed Under Direction Of Melvin King. Electrical Work Was Completed By Austin Electrical. Old Wiring Was Removed. New Wiring Was Installed, With 200 Amp Service. All Of The Rooms Have Overhead Lighting. The Stone Sun Room Has Shadow Lights That Gives A Most Relaxing Atmosphere. One Can Look Out At Night and See Stone Walls Appear in The Yard, Allowing One To Leave The Cares Of The Day Disappear. Manor Mechanical Completed Removal Of Old Plumbing, Heating and Ac. 3 Full Bathrooms Were Restored, 1 Full Bathroom Was Added On Second Floor Off Of Primary Bedroom. On The First Floor A Powder Room Was Added. A New Hvac System Was Installed With Each Floor Zoned Separately There Is A Mini Split in The Stone Sun Room As Well. The Stone Sun Room Was Sandblasted To Restored To Its Former Beauty. The Dining Room Floor Was Cleaned and Covered The Night Of The Fire.The Floor Was Uncovered End Of October 2021, Cleaned and Polished. The Two Landings On Front Stairs Were Also Salvaged. All Other Flooring Throughout The Home Was Replaced With Refinished Hardwood Flooring, With Exception Of Tile Flooring in Second and Third Floor Bathrooms. Front Entrance Has All New Woodwork Recreated To Replicate Original By Skilled Craftsmen. All Exterior and Interior Doors Are New, With The Exception Of Front Entrance Door Which Was Repaired To Its Original Beauty. All Windows Have Been Replaced. When The Walls Came Down We Made The Decision To Create A Larger Open Kitchen. The Kitchen. Has 2 Copper Farmhouse Sinks Crafted in Kentucky., From Each Sink There Is A Beautiful View Through Garden Windows. A Gas Eight Burner Stove With 2 Ovens and A Wall Oven Including Convection and Air Fryer Features Add Ease To Creating Perfect Appetizers, Meals and Desserts For Family and For Entertaining. The Kitchen Is A Place Of Beauty, Featuring A Hand-Painted Tile Mural From Spain. There Is Seating At The Island and A Small Nook With Table and Chairs, Providing Areas To Visit, Study and Eat... Also A Beverage Area With A Beverage and Wine Cooler, As Well As Space For Making and Serving Hot Beverages. The Washer and Dryer Was Moved From First To Second Floor To Make A Convenient, Central Location To Do Laundry. The Second Floor Has 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms and A Sitting Room. As You Climb The Stairs To The Third Floor You Enter An Inviting Open Room With Natural Light Coming Through Windows. The Width Of The Room Has A Cathedral Ceiling With A Fan That Adds To The Ambiance With Charming Bedroom To Your Right. To The Left Is A Bedroom and Sitting Area Combined That Give A Feeling That You Have Reached A Place To Retreat. The Third Floor Bathroom Though Windowless Is Wallpapered and Gives Feeling Of A Place To Relax. The Pool Area Is A Wonderful Place To Swim Relax and Entertain. New Filter Was Put in Summer Of 2022.
